One of the reasons for the selection of chloroplatinic acid
for dispersion is that the ionic structure between N atoms in the PANI chains and chloroplatinic acid
can improve both electrical conductivity and thermal stability of PANI.
The catalysts were prepared by impregnating the aqueous solution of chloroplatinic acid
([H.sub.2]Pt[Cl.sub.6]) as a precursor using the incipient impregnation wetness method.
3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) (stored at 2-4[degrees]C), lithium perchlorate (LiCl[O.sub.4]), chloroplatinic acid
hexahydrate, titanium isopropoxide (TTIP), and titanium dioxide (Ti[O.sub.2], Degussa P25) were obtained from Sigma Aldrich.
The catalyst paste contains vinyl-terminated poly (dimethylsiloxane) and a catalyst such as chloroplatinic acid
.8,10-12 The fillers, such as amorphous silica or fluorocarbons, are added to both the pastes to improve mechanical properties.7,10 The VPS impression materials are presented in different viscosities; extra light-bodied, light-bodied, medium-bodied, heavy-bodied and putty.8,10,13 When the two pastes are mixed, an addition polymerisation reaction occurs forming a cross-linked molecules in the set state.7,12,14,15
Platinum-based homogeneous strong acids like chloroplatinic acid
(Karstedt acid) are typically used here and the cures can either be at ambient or higher temperatures.
Synthesis of Pt[(EINA).sub.2]PPD: The metal complex was prepared in aqueous solution of chloroplatinic acid
(0.265 g, 0.1 mol), adding HEINA (0.318 g, 0.2 mol in water: alcohol 1;1 v/v previously prepared) and after the p-phenyldiamine (0.108 g 0.1 mol in water : alcohol 1;1 v/v), by correcting the pH to 5.5 to 6.
These substances include Ti[O.sub.2] powder (Hombikat, UV-100), rhodamine B (RhB, [C.sub.28][H.sub.31]Cl[N.sub.2][O.sub.3], Aldrich), chloroplatinic acid
([H.sub.2]Pt[Cl.sub.6], Aldrich), methanol (C[H.sub.4]O, J.
These oligomers are double-bond-functional silicones which become polymerized by free radicals from chloroplatinic acid
Pt particles were deposited on the working electrode under galvanostatic condition using +2.5mA/[cm.sup.2] current for 30 minutes from chloroplatinic acid
Silver sulphate ([Ag.sub.2]S[O.sub.4]), chloroplatinic acid
([H.sub.2]Pt[Cl.sub.6]), Bovine serum albumin (BSA) and Hydrazine hydrate ([N.sub.2][H.sub.4].[H.sub.2]O) were obtained from Aldrich chemicals and used as received.
The catalyst is a solubilized platinum complex of chloroplatinic acid
or alternatively a peroxide.
