Classic Environment

Derived from the Rhapsody operating system, the Classic Environment was an emulation layer that ran OS 9 applications in PowerPC-based OS X machines. Classic was dropped in Mac OS X Version 10.4. See Blue Box, Carbon and Cocoa.
