cobble, cobblestone

1.A rock fragment between 2 ½ and 10 in. (64 and 256 mm) in diameter, used for rough paving, walls, and foundations.
2. Coarse aggregate for concrete, having a nominal size in the range 3 to 6 in. (75 to 150 mm).
