Cohen, Joel (Israel)

(1922–  ) lutenist, conductor; born in Providence, R.I. After studies at Brown and Harvard, and with Nadia Boulanger in Paris, in 1968 he became leader of the Boston Camerata, a leading early-music ensemble.
