Comprehensive Use of Raw Materials

the fullest and most economically efficient use of all usable components of a raw material or the by-products of production. Almost all types of raw materials of mineral and organic origin contain a number of valuable components. The completeness of their extraction and use depends on the demand for them and the level of technological development. The comprehensive use of raw materials increases production efficiency, ensures an increase in the volume and variety of output and a reduction in prime cost and expenditures for establishing raw-material bases, and prevents pollution of the environment with industrial wastes.
