Condit, Carl W. (Wilbur)
(1914– ) architectural historian; born in Cincinnati, Ohio. A professor at Northwestern University (1945–82), this historian of building technology published important studies of 19th-and 20th-century American buildings and the Chicago School (1964), and technological histories of Chicago, Cincinnati, and the Port of New York.The Cambridge Dictionary of American Biography, by John S.
