Constitutional

 

a walk taken by healthy persons to strengthen their health and by ill persons undergoing a course of treatment. Constitutionals are especially indicated for patients with certain diseases of the cardiovascular system, respiratory organs, gastrointestinal tract, and liver. Constitutionals are also recommended for people with a tendency toward obesity. At health resorts, terrain cure is used for treatment purposes.
