Coolidge, Charles

(1858–1936)
Partner in the firm Coolidge, Shepley, Bullfinch, and Abbott. He opened a Chicago office in 1892, which employed many of the colleagues who later worked for Frank Lloyd Wright.

In the 1970s O'Meara resolved to carry on the work of Coolidge, Charles Tuttle, and the Bonds, first with the 15inch (until it was placed out of commission because of a broken dome shutter), then with the observatory's 9-inch Clark refractor.
