Cornelii

 

an ancient Roman patrician clan that produced many statesmen and military leaders. The clan was divided into several branches, including the Malughinensus, Scipio, Lentulus, Dolabella, Cethegus, Sulla, and Cinna families. In later times Cornelii of plebeian origin were also known. Famous representatives of the clan included Publius Cornelius Dolabella, Lucius Cornellius Sulla, and Lucius Cornelius Cinna.
