Crystal Cove State Park
Location:Off the Pacific Coast Highway between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach.
Facilities:21 environmental campsites (hike-in), picnic areas, trails, beach, lodging, restaurant, visitor center, exhibits, restrooms (é).
Activities:Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, swimming, surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park includes 3.5 miles of shoreline and 2,000 acres of undeveloped woodland. Beyond the shore, the park's boundary extends underwater to where the ocean is 120 feet deep; the offshore waters have been designated as an underwater park. The first phase of the 12.3-acre historic cottage district opened in June 2006, with rental cottages and a restaurant.
