DXF file

(Document EXchange Format file) An AutoCAD 2D and 3D graphics file format. ASCII based, many CAD systems import and export the DXF format for graphics interchange. AutoCAD 2007 drawings can be saved in the earlier R12 DXF format or in AutoCAD 2007 DXF, which has additional items for properties. See DWF file.
