Dart Moth

 

(Agrotis exclamationis), a moth of the family Noctuidae. The dart moth damages more than 80 species of agricultural plants, most frequently winter grains, corn, sugar beets, cotton, and melons. Its distribution, cycle of development, and characteristic damage are the same as those of the turnip moth.
