Day(e), Stephen

(c. 1594–1688) printer; born in London, England. He emigrated to New England in 1638, under contract to work for the Reverend Jesse Glover, who, however, died en route. A press was set up in Cambridge, Mass., where Glover's widow settled. Day is believed to have managed it until 1649, when Samuel Green took over.
