Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia

 

a town on the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka (Ceylon), south of Colombo, with which it has essentially merged. Population, 154,800 (1971). A trade and transportation and handicraft center, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia is also a resort.
