Dirac monopole[di′rak ′män·ə‚pōl]
A hypothetical magnetic monopole whose magnetic charge is an integral multiple of ℏ c /(2 e), where ℏ is Planck's constant divided by 2π, c is the speed of light, and e is the charge of the electron.
