Diurtiuli

 

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Diurtiuli Raion in Bashkir ASSR. A port on the left bank of the Belaia River. Situated 124 km northwest of Ufa. Population, 14,000 (1970). The Chekmagush oil fields are nearby. A brewery, flour combine, creamery, and poultry incubation and breeding station are located there. There is a branch of the Octiabr’ Petroleum Technicum.
