Dogecoin

A cryptocurrency that was named after the Doge Internet meme of a Japanese Shiba Inu dog. Pronounced "doszh-coin," Dogecoin was created more for entertainment than anything else, and billions of coins come into existence each year unlike the 21 million total for Bitcoin. As of summer 2019, one Dogecoin is valued at less than one cent. In fact, new users can obtain a small amount of coins for free. Like Bitcoin, Dogecoins are mined. See cryptocurrency.
