Domodedovo

 

a city (until 1947, a settlement) in Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, on the Moscow-Kashira highway. It has a railroad station on the Moscow-Kashira line, 37 km south of Moscow. Population, 36,000 (1970). Industries include the production of prefabricated steel sections, building materials, and machines, as well as a sewing factory and a wool-spinning factory. Domodedovo Airport (opened in 1965), one of the airports serving Moscow, is located near the city of Domodedovo.

Moscow Domodedovo International Airport on 17 December said that it is adding wheel and brake service for western-made aircraft to the roster of ground on-site tech support.
