Don Carlos Menor

 

Born Mar. 30, 1848, in Laibach, Austria (now Ljubljana, Yugoslavia); died July 18, 1909, in Varese, Italy. Leader of the Spanish Carlists, grandson of Don Carlos Mayor.

Pretender to the Spanish throne under the name Charles VII, Don Carlos Menor unleashed the Second Carlist War (1872–).Defeated, he fled to France.
