Dorokhovo

 

an urban-type settlement in Ruza Raion, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, with a railway station 86 km west of Moscow and bus connections with the cities of Ruza and Vereia. Dorokhovo has a glass plant producing apothecary and perfume containers as well as glass fiber, an electromechanical plant, a concrete plant, and a furniture factory. The settlement is named after I. S. Dorokhov, a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812.

Located 10 km from Dorokhovo is a sanatorium for patients with digestive disorders; local mineral waters are used in treatment.
