Dulova, Vera Georgievna


Born Jan. 14 (27), 1909, in Moscow. Soviet harpist and instructor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1966). Daughter of the violinist G. N. Dulov, who was a professor at the Moscow Conservatory.

After studying under K. A. Erdeli at the Moscow Conservatory from 1920 to 1925, Dulova took advanced lessons in Berlin under M. Saal. In 1935 she won the first prize at the Second All-Union Competition of Musicians. She has been teaching at the Moscow Conservatory since 1943 and has been a professor there since 1958. E. A. Moskovitina and N. Kh. Shameeva are among her students. Dulova received the State Prize of the USSR in 1973.
