Durand Mission

 

a British mission to Afghanistan in 1893, headed by the secretary for foreign affairs of the Indian colonial administration, H. M. Durand. It resulted in the signing of an agreement forced on the emir of Afghanistan, Abdur Rahman, concerning the boundary between Afghanistan and the British holdings in India.
