We have worked with support of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), the World Weather Research Programme (WWRP), and the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) program to create this white paper on Earth system science frontiers, based on results from a WMO-funded workshop in October 2015 in Offenbach, Germany.
