screwdriver

1. a tool used for turning screws, usually having a handle of wood, plastic, etc., and a steel shank with a flattened square-cut tip that fits into a slot in the head of the screw
2. an alcoholic beverage consisting of orange juice and vodka

Screwdriver

 

a mechanic’s assembly tool for screwing and unscrewing metal or wood screws and other threaded parts with slotted heads. The screwdriver is usually a shank with a blade at one end that is inserted into the slot during operation. The other end of the shank has a wooden or plastic handle. There are also mechanical screwdrivers, which are inserted into a drill chuck.
