An aircraft instrumentation system that provides flight and systems information to the flight crew on cathode-ray tubes and flat-panel displays. Also known as glass cockpit.

Electronic flight instrument system (captain's and first officer's panels & EICS).
A system in which multifunction CRT (cathode-ray tube) displays replace traditional instruments for providing flight, navigation, and aircraft systems information, forming a so-called glass cockpit. These are common in modern-day commercial transports, corporate aircraft and helicopters, military fighters, and some general aviation aircraft.
