Elementary Music Theory

 

the first course in music theory taught in music schools. The purpose of elementary music theory is to teach students how to read music and to impart an understanding of the fundamentals of music and the principal means of musical expression, including musical tones, intervals, chords, keys, meter, rhythm, tempo, and dynamics.
