Ellef Ringnes

 

an island in the Canadian Archipelago; one of the Sverdrup Islands of the Queen Elizabeth Islands. The island covers an area of 13,400 sq km. There are elevations in the east to 175 m. Vegetation consists of species typical of arctic wasteland. Structures on the island include a weather station and Isachsen Airport.
