a name derived from the Polish term narodowa demokracja (national democracy) that is commonly used to designate several ideologically related Polish nationalist organizations: the Polish League (1887–93), the National League (1893–1928), the Polish Youth League (1887–1918, with interruptions), the National Democratic Party of Poland (1897–1945), and various émigré organizations (post-1945).

The latter development, seized by the Endeks without disclosing the causes, became their battle cry: Poles became the victims because of the supposed "Judaization" of Polish cities and commerce, and the alleged exploitation of Polish peasantry by the Jews.
