Energy modeling

Energy modeling

Process to determine the energy use of a building based on software analysis. Also called building energy simulation. Common simulation software are DOE-2 and Energy Plus. This is typically a computer model that analyzes the building’s energy-related features in order to project energy consumption of a given design.
