Erzian’ Pravda

 

(Erzia Pravda), the republic newspaper of the Mordovian ASSR in the Erzia language. Founded in 1921 as Iastere teshte (Red Star), it underwent several name changes before assuming its present name in 1957. It is published in Saransk three times a week. Circulation, 7,000 (1980). The newspaper was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor in 1971.
