Blazhevskii, Evgenii Viktorovich

 

Born Feb. 23 (Mar. 6), 1884, in the village of Liubomirka, in present-day Kotovsk Raion, Odessa Oblast. Innovator in kolkhoz production; team leader (1948–63) of the Gorky Kolkhoz in Kotovsk Raion, Odessa Oblast; twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1950 and 1958). Member of the CPSU since 1952.

Blazhevskii is an expert on obtaining high yields of corn. In 1949 he obtained 69.2 quintals of corn per hectare in a 10-hectare area. He was a delegate to the Twentieth and Twenty-second Congresses of the CPSU. He retired in 1963. He has been awarded two Orders of Lenin and medals.
