Fearing, Kenneth

Fearing, Kenneth (Flexner)

(1902–61) poet, writer; born in Oak Park, Ill. He studied at the University of Wisconsin (B.A. 1924), and settled in New York City (1924). A freelance writer, he was concerned with themes of social justice, as seen in his poetry, and in the novel The Big Clock (1946).
