Ferroprobe Flaw Detection

a method of magnetic flaw detection in which a ferroprobe is used to measure the distortions of a magnetic field that arise at defect sites in articles made of ferromagnetic materials. The technique is used to discover internal defects at depths up to 10 or sometimes 20 mm, usually in articles with regular shapes.
