Finn, Chester Evans, Jr.

(1944–  ) educator; born in Columbus, Ohio. A professor of education at Vanderbilt University (1981), he was a top educational policymaker for Republican administrations and a major contributor to the "America 2000" education plan (1991). An advocate of national testing and federal aid to parochial schools, his books include We Must Take Charge (1991).
