Florencia

 

a city in southern Colombia. Capital of Caquetá Department. Population, 42,000 (1972). Florencia is the commercial center of an agricultural and forest region, whose economy is based on the cultivation of cacao and rice, the raising of livestock on pastures, and the harvesting of rubber.
