Fordney, Joseph Warren

(1853–1932) U.S. representative; born in Hartford City, Ind. A lumberman and alderman before going to the U.S. House of Representatives (Rep., Mich.; 1899–1923), he chaired the Committee on Ways and Means. He resumed lumbering afterward.
