Location:On the southeast coast of Massachusetts, off Route 6 west.

Special Features:Reservation is located minutes from downtown New Bedford and includes a half-mile of Buzzard Bay beachfront. The reservation is named for Fort Phoenix, a national landmark adjacent to the park that is managed by the Town of Fairhaven. From the fort's remnant ramparts, visitors can view the bay where the first naval battle of the Revolutionary War was fought.
