Fraser, Gretchen (Claudia Kunigk)

(1919–  ) skier; born in Tacoma, Wash. She won the first ever Alpine skiing gold medal for the United States when she won the giant slalom in the 1948 Olympics. She also won a silver medal in the combined downhill and slalom race in the 1948 Games.
