Fuglister, Frederick C.

Fuglister, Frederick C. (Charles)

(1909–87) oceanographer; born in New York City. He served the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as physical oceanographer (1940–67) and senior scientist (1960–67). He made major contributions to the study of Gulf Stream currents.
