Serum Galactomannan antigen (a component of the Aspergillus cell wall), routinely investigated in neutropenic patients with high suspicion of invasive fungal disease, was negative at this moment.
Among the most studied methods are the galactomannan (GM) antigen test, the 1,3-p-D-glucan (BDG) test, and molecular polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests [5].
[5,6] Soluble fibers like galactomannan help in lowering blood sugar by slowing down digestion and absorption of carbohydrates.
Beta-mannan is a component of NSP and exists as 4 different forms (pure mannan, galactomannan, glucoamannan, and galactoglucomannan) in the cell wall structure of feed ingredients (Sundu et al., 2006).
The aim of this study was to investigate the bioadhesive properties of three selected natural gums, namely--konjac glucomannan gum (KG), Tara galactomannan gum (TG), and xanthan gum (XG).
Thus, the cheese bread with the addition of acetylated pregel modified manioc starch at 5% (T3), of CMC and galactomannan based stabilizer at 0.3% and 0.5% (T5 and T6 respectively), and of xanthan gum and carrageenan based stabilizer at 0.5% (T8) presented a similar moisture and.
The retrospective study examined the diagnostic performance of two nucleic acid amplification tests, including qPCR and NASBA, as well as one antigen detection method, namely galactomannan enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (GM-ELISA), using blood samples from 80 patients at high risk of IA.
On the other hand, joint effects of antinutritional factors in leucaena, such as tannins, saponins, galactomannan gums, tripsin inhibitors and mimosine may reduce the digestibility of the dry matter and protein of the laying hens' diet (D'MELLO; ACAMOVIC, 1989).
