Galway Bay,

inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, 30 mi (48 km) long, W Republic of Ireland, in counties Galway and Clare. The Aran Islands protect its entrance. Numerous islands dot the Galway Bay, which receives water from Lough Corrib.
