Geiger-Müller tube[¦gī·gər ′myül·ər ‚tüb]
A radiation-counter tube operated in the Geiger region; it usually consists of a gas-filled cylindrical metal chamber containing a fine-wire anode at its axis. Also known as Geiger counter tube; Geiger-Müller counter; Geiger-Müller counter tube.
