Gmail

(Google MAIL) Google's free Web-based email service, which is supported by text advertising similar to Google's Web search. Launched in 2004, Gmail offers 15GB of mailbox storage, allowing users to keep their mail on Google servers indefinitely for future reference. Gmail provides sophisticated searching of message content and keeps message threads for easy review. In 2006, Google's instant messaging was integrated into Gmail but was discontinued in 2015 (see Google Talk).

Gmail is included in the subscriber-based G Suite service but without advertising. See G Suite, Gmail Tap, Gmail labels, Gmail tabs and Google.
