Picasa

Photos tagged as "Gold Star" favorites could be searched independently. Collections of photos were made private by adding passwords. Google acquired digital photo management company Picasa, Inc., in 2004 but discontinued it in 2016 in favor of its Photos service (see Google Photos). See also pICAsso.
