Gor’koe Lake

 

(also Gor’koe Bol’shoe Lake and Cher-nokur’insk Lake), a bitter salt lake in the southeast Kulunda Steppe in Altai Krai, RSFSR. It has an area of 140 sq km, and the deepest part measures 7.2 m. Gor’koe Lake stretches from southwest to northeast, for 50 km in the narrow ravine of the Kasmal River at a width of 6 km. The shores are flat.
