Plateosaurus

a genus of saurischian dinosaurs of the suborder Prosauropoda. The Plateosaurus lived in the late Triassic. They reached a length of 6 m and had a relatively small, light skull. Their teeth were lanceolate, with more than 30 in the upper jaw and less than 30 in the lower. The Plateosaurus moved on two legs. They fed on plants and possibly on small animals. Skeletons of Plateosaurus have been found in deposits in Western Europe.
