Grinnell Land

Grinnell Land

 

a region in central Ellesmere Island (Canadian Arctic Archipelago), extending from Bay Fjord and the Bay of Buchanan in the south to the bays of Greely Fjord and Archer Fjord in the north. The territory was named in honor of the organizer of American polar expeditions H. Grinnell.
