Gutovskii, Simon Matveevich


Date of birth unknown; died 1681. Russian 17th-century craftsman.

Gutovskii worked in the Moscow Armory. He was famous for the musical instruments he made, particularly organs, which were renowned even outside Russia. Gutovskii built the first Russian gravure printing press in 1677.
