Gzak

 

(Gza, Kzak), a late 12th-century Polovtsian khan; ally of Khan Konchak. Gzak participated in the rout of Prince Igor Sviatoslavich’s campaign in 1185 and in Konchak’s campaign against Rus’. After the defeat of Igor Sviatoslavich, Gzak’s detachment operated in the vicinity of Putivl’. Gzak is mentioned in The Lay of the Host of Igor.
