HARQ

(Hybrid Automatic Repeat ReQuest) A technique that enables faster recovery from errors in cellular networks by storing corrupted packets in the receiving device rather than discarding them. Even if retransmitted packets have errors, a good packet can be derived from the combination of bad ones. See HSPA.

Considering LTE communication, ARQ and HARQ are two standard retransmission models available; however it has been found that the traditional ARQ/HARQ imposes signaling overheads thus introducing additional energy consumption and latency [28, 29].

However, the hard decision IC schemes in [6] and [7] were designed for MIMO systems without HARQ, and can only be applied in the case of two simultaneously transmitted packets.
The case studies for the high-throughput decoder, its application demonstrating scalability, and the rapidly prototyped HARQ experiment are detailed in Section 5.
The considered joint association between the truncated SR HARQ type I retransmission protocol and MCS mechanism into the MBUWB system is performed following a Single Input Single Output (SISO) wireless communication system in which the transmitter and the receiver are separated according to a distance d such that the developed cross-layer design is depicted in Fig.
Relevant parameters--those that have the greatest influence on throughput and spectral efficiency are: applied antenna configuration, a number of HARQ retransmissions, duplex type and LTE-Advanced channel scenario.

The notion of rateless coding is conceptually similar to the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes [17], but the difference is mainly in the code construction where rateless codes can be considered as a continuous version of the HARQ schemes [14].

"Support for the TD-SCDMA wireless standard significantly lowers the entry barrier and the design challenges baseband vendors are facing in targeting the subscriber base of China Mobile, the world's largest wireless operator, with more than 650 million subscribers." CEVA's TD-SCDMA software libraries support the latest TD-SCDMA technology compliant with the 3GPP Rel-9 worst case conditions and are user-configurable based on customer needs, including interleaver, rate matching, modulation type (8PSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM), HARQ, and more.
